En septiembre se vendieron 34.931 viviendas, un 13,2% más que hace un año, según datos del Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE). Así, las compraventas crecen en tasa interanual en 24 de los últimos 25 meses. Sin embargo, con respecto al mes anterior, las operaciones cayeron un 1,6%. De nuevo, más del 80% de las casas vendidas fueron de segunda mano.
De las 34.931 viviendas vendidas, 82,7% fueron de segunda mano (28.874) y el 17,3% restante, obra nueva (6.057). La vivienda nueva sigue registrando bajas operaciones de compraventa. De hecho, bajó un 0,6% en tasa interanual. En cambio, las casas usadas aumentaron un 16,5% con respecto a septiembre de 2015.
Del total de viviendas compradas, el 88,7% fueron libres (30.976), mientras que el 11,3% restante fueron protegidas (3.955). En términos anuales, el número de viviendas libres transmitidas por compraventa aumentó un 11,4% y el de protegidas, un 29,5%.
Por comunidades autónomas, Andalucía lideró las compraventas con 6.907 viviendas transmitidas. Le siguió Cataluña con 5.991 casas vendidas y la Comunidad de Madrid con 5.522 operaciones cerradas.
